So let me introduce ourselves. Hi. I’m Magan a Money Mentor, the one in the middle and the creator of The Real Raw Outlaw. The big guy on the left of me is my awesome husband Michael. We’ve been married since 1999. We were high school sweethearts. We’ve grown up and learned how to navigate life together. The tall one on the right of me is our oldest son Morrison. He was born the year after we married in 2000. The two little ones are Michael (left) and Paul (right). And if you can’t tell they came 10 years later in 2010 (surprise twins). And the poor little dog trying to escape is Houser.

My house is loud, smells like boys, and functions on lots of coffee and to-do lists.

Our financial struggle started from the very beginning. We were young, married, and broke. We did not have any discipline or know how when it came to our money. We spend more than we made and lived paycheck to paycheck for the first 15 years of our marriage. I’ve been through bankruptcy, relied on food stamps, used payday loans to pay the bills, and yes racked up credit car bills.

After a lot of trial and errors, arguments, and prayers we managed to gain control of our finances and clawed our way to the other side.
