Why I Started Blogging

Why I wanted to start blogging:

I’ve been kicking around the idea of blogging for a while now, but I’ve been putting it off thanks to negative thinking.

Negative thoughts that crept in:

  • I’m not a good writer
  • Nobody is going to want to read it
  • Nobody cares what I have to say
  • I’m not interesting enough
  • What if someone posts a mean comment because they don’t agree with me

You get the point. It’s so easy to fall into that pit when we worry about what others will think. So I decided I’m going to do this for myself. I’m going to be ok if I’m the only one that ever reads it. I’m going to enjoy writing what’s on my mind.

My hope is that maybe it will help one person with something they’ve been struggling with. Maybe it will make one person laugh. Maybe it will help one person get their health back. Maybe I will be that one person, maybe you will be that one person. In the end it will all be worth it if that is the case.

I want you to know that there will be times when my grammar isn’t going to be perfect, my kids aren’t going to be perfect, and my life isn’t going to be perfect. But it will be the REAL me, the RAW me, and of course the OUTLAW me. Isn’t that what living life unedited means?

So what will this blog consist of? A little bit of everything. The things I love, stories that inspire me, recipes, meal planning, budgeting, my personal health journey, life with kids, and probably a rant or two. I am also going to do a weekly or monthly “Outlaw Roundup” for family and friends that will highlight what we did that week.

I hope you enjoy it and follow along for the ride.

 Keepin’ it real,

Magan Outlaw
